While I will always try to only publish correct information, medicine is constantly changing and I may interpret the available evidence differently from others. I offer my views on the correctional medicine based on the evidence that I have reviewed as well as my own experiences. I could be wrong!  Feel free to disagree!  I welcome comments, suggestions and corrections.

Privacy Disclaimer

I will make every effort to be HIPAA compliant on JailMedicine.  While real patients may be referenced, identifying characteristics will always be changed and the cases altered or merged with details of other cases in order to disguise patient data. Also, while you may provide your email address to subscribe to posts or to post information on the blog, I will never share your email address or contact information with any third parties.

  1. Hello, all – I am considering a position at a large correctional facility (male) in the Northwest. My RN background (over 20 years) includes ER and ICU. Best advice? Go!
